About the company:
The County of Wellington, situated in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, is an integral part of the Greater Golden Horseshoe region. With a focus on sustainability, the county oversees various initiatives and activities aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and community well-being in Wellington and its surrounding areas.
Priorities in the Circular Economy:
The County gained experience in building a circular economy of food during the partnered Our Food Future project. Our staff continue to use their expertise in areas of solid waste services, procurement, agricultural support, and economic development to support circularity in our community. Our municipal climate change plan sets the targets which underscores all of this work.
