The Circular Innovation Council (CIC) is pleased to announce the return of the highly successful Canadian Circular Economy Summit (CCES) during Canadian Environment Week, taking place in Edmonton, Alberta, from June 2–4, 2027.
Originally co-created in partnership between Circular Innovation Council and Circular Economy Leadership Canada (a Solution Space of Generate Canada), the Summit has experienced remarkable growth, with back-to-back sold-out events in Toronto (2023) and Montréal (2025), doubling attendance within just two years.
CCES 2027 will be led by the Circular Innovation Council and co-hosted in partnership with the City of Edmonton and Alberta Ecotrust Foundation. Hosted in Alberta for the first time, the event will bring together a diverse network of business and industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, academics, and researchers who are shaping Canada’s circular future.

CIC is reconvening its national collaborators to support and inform the CCES 2027 program, ensuring a truly national agenda and a reflection of the expansion of circular economic transformation occurring across the country.
Building off the event’s past success, CCES 2027 will continue to be a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and actionable strategies toward achieving circularity in Canada. We look forward to gathering delegates from all corners of the country with international experts and practitioners from around the world.
CCES was co-created and co-hosted as a partnership between Circular Innovation Council and Circular Economy Leadership Canada (a former Solution Space of Generate Canada). As of January 2026, CELC has undertaken a strategic refocus to become Circular Construction Canada (CCC) and will remain a collaborating partner for CCES 2027.
