CCES 2025 – Showcasing Canada’s Moment Toward a Circular Economy

Over 950 delegates (a doubling from the inaugural event in 2023) from across the country and globe gathered in Montréal, Canada at the Canadian Circular Economy Summit 2025 last week. A jam-packed agenda focused on the capacity for the circular economy to solve some of Canada’s biggest challenges including fighting climate change, unlocking innovation, and building economic resilience.

“We couldn’t be prouder of the success of the 2nd iteration of the Canadian Circular Economy Summit. Collaborating with Circular Economy Leadership Canada (CELC) and bringing our diverse networks together was central to the event’s success. Inviting the rest of Canada to join Quebec’s rich and diverse champions and innovators created the showcase we were looking for, demonstrating Canada’s circular economy community is alive, well and growing. The momentum the event has created has reinvigorated our commitment as an organization and to the important work ahead. We look forward to inviting everyone back to CCES 2027! Stay tuned…”

Procure4Circular Outcomes Accelerator – Building Construction & Renovation

Amidst ongoing tariffs and trade uncertainty, business as usual is no longer an option. Now is the time to leverage procurement to advance circular solutions that multi-solve: strengthening local economic resilience, delivering innovative job creation, carbon emissions and waste reduction, while targeting life-cycle cost savings.

What is the Procure4Circular Outcomes Accelerator?

Procure 4 Circular is a national initiative to accelerate development, testing, and refinement of outcomes-based procurement approaches to deliver circular impact. It is a network of public sector buying organizations, grouped by common needs in a product category, that will trial circular outcomes and refine circular criteria through vendor engagement pilots.

Benefits:

  • Capacity Building: Engage with and learn from circular procurement case studies, industry leaders, innovators and research leaders
  • Collective Learning: By identifying common buying needs, buying organizations learn together by tackling an upcoming procurement opportunity of one or more members
  • Save Time: Reduce your time and effort needed to develop and test circular criteria and evaluation metrics as well as engage vendors to identify where the market is at – the decision to incorporate refined circular outcomes and criteria is up to each participating organization
  • Acknowledge Fiscal Realities: Identify circular outcomes that aim to deliver life-cycle cost savings/cost neutrality while also delivering on your environmental and social goals

Interested in participating? Reach out for the Terms of Reference and further details. Interested in partnering to support this critical work to strengthen Canadian economic resilience and innovative, low-carbon circular solutions? We’d love to hear from you.
