Imagine a world where businesses and communities thrive, and where economic growth and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. Comprised of 17 interconnected goals serving as a roadmap for a more sustainable and equitable future, this vision isn’t just a dream—it’s the foundation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global blueprint adopted by the United Nations to tackle the world’s biggest challenges, from climate action to responsible consumption. But how exactly do the SDGs and circular innovation intersect? And what can we do—whether as individuals, businesses, or policymakers—to make a tangible impact? Let’s dive into a closer look on how the Council’s work aligns with SDGs.
In less than 5 days, the Share Reuse Repair Hub will be kicking off Earth Month by expanding to Durham Region! The updated map and resources cover over 180+ new listings; from Oshawa to Scugog and beyond, residents will be able to find ways to share, reuse, and repair in their neighbourhood.
Stay tuned for the expansion launch on April 1st!
Canadian municipalities are invited to reach out to us if interested in bringing the Hub to your region.

Amidst tariffs and trade uncertainty, business as usual is no longer an option. Now is the time to leverage procurement to advance circular solutions that multi-solve: strengthening local economic resilience while delivering cost savings, innovative and inclusive job creation, and carbon emissions and waste reduction.
Procure 4 Circular is a transformative effort, leveraging the market shifting power of procurement to accelerate supply chain circularity through collective, collaborative action. It is a national learning & action network of buying organizations, grouped by product category, committed to trialling vendor engagement pilots and ultimately simplifying circular procurement with the goal of delivering the benefits of circularity. The buying groups are focussed primarily, but not exclusively, on the purchasing needs and processes of governments and the MUSH (municipal, university, school and healthcare) sector.
Circular Innovation Council is moving full-steam ahead with its Procure4Circular buying groups in two high-impact categories: Building Construction and Renovation and ICT.
We have room for up to 4 more organizations to join the Building Construction and Renovation buying group launching in Q2, 2025. Reach out for the Terms of Reference and further details. Interested in partnering to support this critical work to strengthen Canadian economic resilience and innovative, low-carbon circular solutions? We’d love to hear from you.
