Circular Innovation Council (CIC) is proud to announce a collaboration with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF) for the Canadian Circular Economy Summit (CCES) 2027. By connecting Canadian circular innovation directly with global leadership through this collaboration, CCES will gain perspectives, expertise, and success stories on circular economy policies, finance and market strategies that will increase the relevance of the event.
As the CCES’s Official International Ambassador, EMF will help shape the CCES 2027 program, providing valuable global insights on priority subject areas for the development of a Circular Economy Framework for Canada.
“The Canadian Circular Economy Summit has become the marquee event for advancing circular solutions across sectors and regions in Canada. Partnering with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation brings unparalleled global expertise to the
CCES 2027 and reflects Canada’s growing role
in shaping the circular economy systems change around the world. Together, CIC and EMF look forward to creating new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and impact.”

“We are proud to be partnering with the Circular Innovation Council on The Canadian Circular Economy Summit, one of North America’s most practice-oriented gatherings of business, NGO and civil actors progressing the circular economy. There are significant opportunities for Canada to build on its industrial, technological, and environmental successes to advance circularity in Canada, as well as to bolster its global leadership in the space. We look forward to collaborating with the CIC and leaders across North America to help set the agenda for a clear path towards the implementation of circularity.”
Danielle Holly, Executive Lead North America, The Ellen MacArthur Foundation
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is a global charity accelerating the transition to a circular economy — one that eliminates waste, keeps materials in use, and regenerates nature to create a resilient system that benefits business, people, and the environment.
Launched in 2010, the Foundation drives implementation of the circular economy at scale to address today’s most pressing challenges and create systemic change in the areas of critical minerals, fashion and textiles, and plastics.

The Canadian Circular Economy Summit is Canada’s flagship bi-annual event dedicated to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon, circular economy. CCES brings together a diverse network of business and industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, academics, and researchers who are shaping Canada’s circular future.
Last week it was announced that CCES 2027 will be led by the Circular Innovation Council and co-hosted in partnership with the City of Edmonton and Alberta Ecotrust Foundation. The Summit has experienced remarkable growth, with back-to-back sold-out events in Toronto (2023) and Montréal (2025), doubling attendance within just two years.
