About CCES

Our Story

Since 2023, the Canadian Circular Economy Summit (CCES) has become Canada’s leading platform to convene and mobilize stakeholders to reshape our current linear economic model into a circular one.

Achieving a circular economy requires coordinated action across governments, businesses, and value chains to align priorities, unlock investment and scale solutions.

Every two years, CCES brings together key decision-makers, innovators, and practitioners to collaborate, share knowledge, and drive collective progress.

Delegates of the Canadian Circular Economy Summit will:

Raise the profile of the circular economy and its opportunities to deliver on the current economic, environmental and societal imperatives critical to Canada.

Contribute towards advancing the circular economy innovation agenda, with a focus on industrial competitiveness and economic development opportunities for Canada as part of the net zero future.

Collaborate with others across workstreams and industries to advance action in policy, innovation, procurement, finance, trade, collaboration models, data, and information sharing.

Connect and engage with other delegates through business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) programming to forge strategic partnerships, agreements, pilot projects, and new research.

Facilitate the development of policies and actions necessary for a circular economy to thrive across Canada.

Event Objectives:

Identify and showcase the broad and wide-raning benefits of the circular economy for Canada, including innovation, productivity, affordability, and economic development benefits.

Highlight existing and leading-edge examples of circular economy in practice, including projects, initiatives, organizations, and best practices.

Bring partners and networks together across material streams and industry sectors through rich, interactive, outcome-focused programming and match-making.

Engage with a broad group of stakeholders beyond the traditional circularity and sustainability communities.

Map progress toward the critical enablers and priority actions required for advancing a circular economy aligned with the Circular Economy Action Plan for Canada.

Engage in business-to-business transactions, inform policy, and create new relationships.

Circular Economy Action Plan for Canada

The Circular Economy Action Plan for Canada is a framework to accelerating Canada towards circularity.

Version 2.0 builds upon the inaugural CE Action Plan, providing new insights, addressing new challenges, and honing in on key impact areas.
