Circular Innovation Council Supports Canada’s First Symposium on Reuse

Registrations now open (virtual and limited in-person options available)

November 30, 2022
Radisson Blu, Queen’s Quay West
Toronto, Ontario

This first of its kind symposium is dedicated to promoting cross-sector collaborations that support and advance innovative reuse solutions for the Canadian marketplace.

Reuse is a critical value retention activity in advancing the transition from a linear to circular economy. By designing products and packaging that support scalable reuse solutions, we can reduce the environmental impacts of manufacturing new products and address challenges associated with end-of-life disposal, in particular for plastics.

Held in Toronto on November 30th 2022, this symposium will bring together innovators, industry leaders advancing solutions, policy makers, and supporting NGOs. Attendees will have the opportunity to share leading best practices and enhance connections to advance reuse initiatives that demonstrate real circular solutions.

Symposium Objectives Include:

  • Overview of policies in leading jurisdictions, particularly Europe, the United States and Canada, that are supporting the advancement of reuse;
  • Roundtable discussion on reuse efforts in Canada (businesses, governments, NGOs) and discuss challenges, infrastructure and policy gaps, and solutions;
  • Networking opportunities with organizations looking to future strategic actions to advance reuse and the sharing economy.

Registration is required for in person attendance and to access livestream plenaries.
